Chair Still Life

Chair04  Chair05

This project took a considerably long amount of time to complete. However, through all the work and anguish I have found that I finally enjoy drawing. After presenting my finished work in class my professor encouraged me to make adjustments to strengthen the overall view of my chair. I applied more atmospheric perspective by lightening the parts of the chair that are further away and darkening the parts that are closer. To strengthen the bevels and warps of the cloth I lightened the portions that were above and darkened the portions that were below. The lightening also helped to lift the bevels up off of the page.
